I decided it would be time for me to do some more projects for the rookies awards. I came to the conclusion it would be a good idea to remake the katana I made a while ago as it was one of my favourite projects and I knew it was in need of a remaster. I touched up some of the models as it needed some reworks, almost fully reUVed it as they were bad, fully retextured and rerendered. Since finishing the project I can say now that it was definitely worth the 2 days I spend on it and that it came out better than I expected.
Texture change Ideas
When remaking the Katana I decided to take bits that I liked and disliked about it previously and put it together in a moodboard of what I wanted things to look like to further get a better idea on the look I wanted.
Untextured
I wanted to have a really defined shape for my katana and make it clear even without textures what the object is.
